Don't know what I'm going to do with myself for the next few weeks with nought ot keep me busy. Although we are going to Spain on Saturday, which I keep forgetting about. I am going to kinda miss going to work. As much as Friday and Saturday nights were hell I did kinda enjoy it. (Shhhh, I know I complained alot, but they'r not that bad... ish...) The people were nice, even the managers on a good day.

Riding this morning too. Rode orbit inside. Quite successfully. And we have disovered a trick to get him listening for canter work. Change the rein. As soon as he misbehaves change the rein, change it back again and ask fro transition. He then gets so confused with which direction he;'s going he has no choice but to do as he's told. Thats the theory anyways. Not that I'll have long to put it into practice. As I only have one more lesson... Thats going to be odd.

Oxford on Friday Miss Bexy! You excited?

Kayla

I had my manager yelling at me for 5 mintues... have to say I'm glad I missed the first round of yelling. Its not my fault that the potatoes were over cooked and actually i would be in deeper shit if i hadn't asked.

And it gave me great pleasure to respond with the fact that I've been offered a placement in South Africa begining in September and will be handing my notice in on Saturday.
Figured I should actually post something, having been home 3 days.

Austria was great fun. Getting de;ayed for 7 hours on the the way out was less fun... But we got there eventually. Spent alot of time mountain biking through the valley and a couplke of times upo the mountain. Well, actually down the mountain, we pout our bbikes on the ski lift up. Noit cheating at all. Did a coupel of days walking. Very very complicatied ridge walk, rivaling hwat we did in Venezuela but only for 4 hours and we got ice cream at the end.

Took family horse riding too. Mum swears she is never doing it again. I don't blame her really given the evilness of the horse they put her on. White water rafting was also good. But they made me get into the river to practice saving people and it was frezing! And Lewis took a really long time to rescue me given as he knew I was going to get in. Cayoning was terrifying. Next time I think it will be a good idea to go scrambling throguh a gorge full of water remind its a stupid idea. I was cold and wet and I had to keep jumping off high rocks. I'm glad I did it but never again thank you.

Finished Harry Potter. Bit it kinda left me disappointed when I;d finished. having said that the rest of the book was very good and all the characters were wrapped up nicely and all developed. So I think it can be forgiven. Although the killing of Hedwig cannot! (Yes I know I should probably be more worreid about Fred or Tonks or Lupin but... But once I'd reminded him I had a nice big stick and legs he decided maybe the answer was yes. My canter work is realyl improving. I'm getting it now so that the canter is nice and collected and slow, but with implusion.

Haven't really got anything else to say. Had nice chat with David from work at lunch today. He's off to Birmingham to do biomed this year.

Kayla

I have absolutely nothing new to post. I could ramble about work again but that is ALL I seem to have to talk about...

So instead I'm going to get excited about holiday in a week. It's going to be so nice to see my family for an entire week! And the weather in Austria atm is majorly hot. Like 40 degrees kind of hot! Having said that its prob not so good for our mountain biking/walking holiday... we may melt slightly.

It looks like its going to be really good fun. We rent bikes for the week and we're going horse riding through the mountains and white water rafting and abseiling down waterfalls and cayoning. The place we're staying at is a ski resort during the winter, so its all geared up for sports like this. And we're staying in a gorgeous little hotel in the middle of the village. And you use the ski lifts to attach your bike too, so you take the lift up the mountain and then ride down.

*gets over excited*

Kayla

Work was more than a little manic today. Neither manager was in coz they had to go home (as in Birmingham) so we had another manager in. Which on a normal day ould have been fine, I managed it yestuday after all. But we had a tabel of 14 booked, so it was going to be a bit more manic. But still doable. Then another group of 14 arrived and asked for a table. OK, we can do that too... Then we wonder how we have a full resturant and no food coming out yet... so off we go to the kitchen, and they haven't got any orders through. After much confusion we realise they haven't turned on the printer... isn't technology wonderful. So now we have 25+ meals to be cooked all at once and a resturant of very pissed off customers! I am now very very good at appologising. The big boss man came in today too. Thankfully a little after our big problem. But he was very nice and actually came to thank me personally for my service and for selling up on desseerts and coffee.

I did however manage to spill an entire jug of milk all down me... half hour into my shift.....

And we had a funeral come in. I thought it was a very odd place to have a wake, but hey, thats what they wanted. They had a buffett so that wasn't too much work. Thankfully!

Starting work at 12 is good. It meant I could sleep in and have a long shower and get up slowly, rather than gettig up when the alarm goes off.

Kayla

Banks are silly. They confuse my head and are boring. I have however been very productive today. I set up my account for my gap year, booked my Dr's appointment to get my injections, tablets etc and unlocked my phone to work abroad. Go me.

And we got photoshop back. Which means my fandomness may now expand to icons... possibley.

At work tomorrow I have to be incharge. Not completely coz that would be terrifying but my manager isn't going to be in, so I have to act all supervisory and organise people... whats the betting I burn it down again??

Kayla

Went riding this morning. Finally manged to ride outside! It's July and I have only managed 2 outdoor lessons! Normally I'm outside every week. Really good lesson. We worked on my canter work, as we're going to stick with flat work this summer, coz thats what I'll need when I'm away. And it actually went really well. I don't get enoguht chance to work on it so normally its awful. But i managed not to try and pull him round and just rode properly. It was really good fun.

Going to Freds later too. haven't seen her in a while, so it should be fun.

Kayla

*squeaks* OK, remember how I was excited to get a job...

I need sleep. And not to have to walk anywhere for just a little bit... please!

6 day weeks are hard. Espcially when you haven't worked in a few months. My feet are killing me. ALthouhg I do now have new shoes, which may help.

Having said that, I can definatly handle 6 days a week better working in a resturant than i could have managed in shop. There's generally something to be getting on with an more freedom as far as food, drink and chat goes. You expect your waitresses to chat to each other, so much sot that we are encoraged to, and there is food about so its easier to do. Plus they feed me sunday lunch when I work sunday and its tasty. You don't have to go 4/5 hours without water... like i did at Let's eat.

Was really manically busy on friday night. We were fully booked and they filled the bar to the point that you could barely move through the building. I had a group of 25 to look after in the room past the bar. meaning in order to bring ouit that food I had to walk past the bar, which is not easy with huge heavy plates.

Don't really have anything else to say...

Kayla

Ack, thunder... oooo, and lightening!

As much as this new type of British weather is driving me mad, I do love thunderstorms. They remind me of being little when my grandparents lived in Switzerland. They had the most spectacualr thunderstorms, and when they had them at night we'd all stay up and watch them and we'd have hot chocolate and marshmallows. Useful bit of information there for you...

I miss my pony... I am OK. Much better than yesturday morning. But I still wanna ride...

Liking my new Biffy Clyro CD. I love going into CD shop and just wandering slowly through the racks till something jumps out at you.
Got a little Hodgins obcession going here for the last few days... don't really know why, and it's annoying, coz unlike most other Jack fans I liked him more in season 2 than 1. Which I don't have and they won't hurry up and repeat.

Am also thinking I'm needing another Angela/Hodgins icon, coz I don't really like this one... *goes wandering for images*

Watched the Diana concert last night. Am i the only one finding the fact that Charles nor the Queen were there? I'm mean, I'm not complining, I can't stand the guy. And I know he divorced her and re-married and all that jazz. But parents come to watch you perform at small school plays, you'd think that if your sons put on a huge concert at wembley stadium you'd at least show up. (It is of course entirely possible that he was there and I just missed him... or he didn't appear on the TV, but given as they kept showing us Williams not girlfriend if he was I guess they would have shown him)

Yeah I don't really know why that even occured to me... given as my knowledge of the royal family is very very limited and I don't generally keep up with what they're doing...

Kayla
